America’s Oldest Nurse Turns 90, Still Going Strong
Most people at the age of 90 need a nurse. This woman is one.
Meet CeeCee Rigney. She's the oldest nurse in America and turned 90 years young last week. For her efforts, her co-workers threw her a surprise party and captured the scene in a video that has gone viral.
Rigney works at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. She started out in the medical field as a nursing student in 1946 and never looked back.
Rigney's dedication to her work got the notice of some pretty powerful people -- Washington Governor Jay Inslee penned a letter to her, thanking her for her service.
We're not sure what's more remarkable -- the fact she's 90 and still doing an amazing job as a nurse or to actually come across a feel-good story involving the healthcare industry.
