Work Zone Speed Cameras Are Back In New York State
The weather is getting nice as we move through the first full week of Spring, and here in New York State, Spring also means road construction.
With thousands of projects set to happen over the next several months, New York State is looking out for the workers on the roads. Once again, they will be using automatic speed cameras in work zones.
These cameras will catch speeders and send out automatic tickets if you are caught speeding in designated work zones.
The first violation will cost you $50. If you get a second violation within an 18-month period, you will be fined $75. If you get three or more violations within an 18-month period, your fines will increase to $100 each, with possible additional penalties added to the ticket.
