You can expect rain and thunderstorms through the day today and for the next couple of days here in Western New York.
According to Accuweather.com, you will see a cold front sweep across Western New York over the next 72 hours and that will bring rain and thunderstorms along with it.
Today we will see mostly cloudy all day with a high around 82. The rain and thunderstorms will kick off Tuesday morning and there will be a major drop in the high temperature as well.
For Tuesday the high is expected to only reach 69 with the rain and thunderstorms before the rain moves East and the sun will start shining again in Western New York.
On Wednesday it will be cool but sunny. The high will be around 71 will plenty of sunshine on tap for Western New York. The rest of the week will be sunny but cool with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s.
According to the extended forecast, June will be a wet and cold month. Usually, in June we have an average temperature in the mid to upper 70s and only 9 days of rain. This year it will be quite different.
What about the rest of the year. It is always hard to predict that far in advance but according to Accuweather.com, July and August should be back on track with average temperature and more sun than rain.
The good news is that we won't have to worry about snow for a couple of months. It looks like the snow won't be back in the area until late November or early December. That is a future forecast that I can live with.
