The National Weather Service Office in Buffalo (NWS) has now issued three Weather Warnings that impact Western New York for Sunday into Monday.

New Year's Day: Showers. High near 50. Breezy, with a southwest wind around 24 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tonight: A chance of rain showers before 7pm, then rain and snow showers likely between 7pm and 8pm, then snow showers after 8pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Widespread blowing snow after 9pm. Low around 29. Windy, with a west wind between 28 and 38 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Monday: A chance of snow showers before 1pm, then snow showers and widespread blowing snow after 1pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 30. Breezy, with a west wind between 23 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Monday Night: Snow showers and widespread blowing snow before 7pm, then snow showers likely and widespread blowing snow between 7pm and 4am, then a chance of snow showers after 4am. Low around 9. Wind chill values as low as -10. Blustery, with a northwest wind between 17 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday: A chance of snow showers, mainly between 10am and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 14. North wind between 13 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 10.
