I long for the glory days of flying. I never knew how good I had it until I lost it. I don't know if I can bring myself to watch Pan Am on ABC. I'll really find out what  I missed then. I may cram in to a tight seat, subject myself to being felt up by TSA and frown my nose at the not so fragrant food smell, but I still love to fly. Read on to see which airline had an employee that cursed at me.  Here is a list of the top 5 airlines with the most complaints compiled by Travel & Leisure.

#5  American Airlines

I'm surprised they are ranked as high as they are. I have never had a problem flying with American Airlines.

#4 American Eagle

I have never had any personal complaints with American Eagle. Accept the pilots look like they are old enough to be my children.

3. Continental Airlines

I don't know where to begin. I'll give you the short version of the very long story. I was told the flight was waiting for me and I must hurry to the gate. The red coat directed me to run to the wrong gate in Newark. By the time I found thecorrect gate, I watched my flight pull away. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the very mean lady told me "If you want to speak to a supervisor you better go down to baggage". I said "I don't have a problem with my baggage". She responded with another nasty comment and name.  It turned into a pretty bad situation....... SECURITY !!!!!!  This was the worse display of customer service I have ever experienced in my life. When I think of the story I still get mad.

2. US Airways

I recently flew Us Airways.  There was not enough space for my luggage and they kindly checked it for free. My seat was comfortable and clean.

1. United Airlines

This is awkward. I am a frequent flyer of United Airlines. They have merged with Continental and I don't know what I am going to do now.  My flights are always delayed when I am traveling back west through their Chicago hub. I don't seem to mind this, they have a great lounge area and a very nice terminal. I have slept in that terminal two times. Flying in the winter can be unpredictable.

United has lost my luggage on two occasions and I lost my own luggage  once on their airline. Why do I continue to fly with them?  They always find my luggage and have it delivered. They even found the luggage I lost on the plane and returned that to me as well.

They apologize for their mistakes and issue vouchers. No one or business is perfect.  If you make the situation right we can move on. Unfortunately by being #1 on the list, not every customer has had the same bad experience turn into a good one.
