Former Buffalo Bills Player’s Brother Wow Judges On American Idol
If you watched American Idol on Monday Night, you might have noticed a familiar name during the audition process.
Former NFL player Blake Proehl wowed Katy Perry and the judges during his audition on the talent show.
If the name "Proehl" sounds familiar, it is because Blake is the brother of former Buffalo Bills draft pick Austin Proehl.
Austin was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL draft. He was waived by the Bills at the end of training camp that year and bounced around the leage before signing with the Bills again in 2021.
Despite being on the Bills team twice, he never played a down for the Bills in an NFL regular season game.

Blake is also a former NFL football player. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was injured during training camp and retired from professional football later that year.
American Idol kicked off its 22nd season on Monday with judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. Ryan Seacrest is also back as the host. American Idol airs on ABC.
