New York State Trooper Makes It On “The Voice”
If you like to speed along the I-90 or have been pulled over by a New York State trooper recently, you might have recognized the man who was singing on "The Voice" earlier this week.
It was at the last second, but New York State trooper Tom Nitti, who is from New Hartford, NY was chosen to join Team McEntire after the country superstar turned her chair around towards the end of his performance.
After turning her chair around, McEntire was shocked to learn that the Trooper was from New York. She assumed that he was from the south.

During the interviews afterward, McEntire was excited that she was the only judge to turn around. She said that she loved his voice.
So what is up next for Nitti?
He will work with the rest of Team McEntire and try to win the whole thing.
Nitti is not the only New York native to make it to a singing contest. Last year it was Buffalo's Matt Wilson who made it deep into the Hollywood round of American Idol.
This is the 24th season of "The Voice" and the 1st one without judge Blake Shelton. Shelton was one of the original judges and left this past season to spend more time with his family.
You can follow along to see how far Nitti will make it on “The Voice” every Monday and Tuesday on NBC. The show airs each day starting at 8pm.
