Pretty crazy to think you could get a new car for 6 grand.  Today you can get a car with no engine or tires, and some body damage for 7 grand.  Another big change since 1983 has been the music.  Some people think it's only gotten worse, and some think it's way better.  One thing is for sure, there were some classics that year that are still great even today.
