It looks like this week will be a lot more wet and less snowy than first predicted.
Heading into one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, early forecasts were calling for a potential lake-effect snowstorm, but many local meteorologists have changed their forecast and it looks like we will see more rain than snow for Thanksgiving here in Western New York.

Late last week, the first long-range forecast came out and it was calling for lake-effect snow in feet, not inches. The National Weather Service in Buffalo was reporting a possible "significant" lake effect snowstorm.
As it does, as we got closer to Thanksgiving, the models adjusted and now it looks like that way the weather fronts are moving, we will have rain and not snow across much of Western New York.
Travel will be impacted by the rain, so if you are traveling or having people come into Western New York, expect some delays.
