When You Can Skate For Free This Week At Canalside

Kids all across Western New York are off from school this week for their "Mid-Winter" break and if you are looking to do something fun, what about ice skating?

This week you will have a chance to take the kids and skate for free at the ice rink at Canalside.

Starting today, anyone can skate for free at the Ice at Canalside from 10 am until Noon. There will also be free ice skate rentals as well, on a first come first serve basis.

Families can also enjoy free Paula's Donuts during the free skate while supplies last.

On top of the free skate which is provided by a grant from Project Play WNY and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Ice at Canalside will also have extended hours this week to help keep kids busy during their break.

The hours for the Ice at Canalside this week are:

Monday, Feb. 17: 10 am. to 6 pm.
Tuesday, Feb. 18 – Thursday, Feb. 20: 10 am. to 8 pm.
Friday, Feb. 21: 10 am. to 10 pm.
Saturday, Feb. 22: noon to 10 pm.
Sunday, Feb. 23: 11 am. to 8 pm.

The Ice at Canalside will close for the season at 8 pm on Sunday, so make sure you get out this week and enjoy it.
