The ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ WNY Connection
Anybody that remembers the classic movie from the 1980's "Planes,Trains and Automobiles" starring Steve Martin and the late John Candy will remember this classic scene:

Well there are TWO Western New York locations where this movie was filmed. The first is in South Dayton where Steve Martin's character is at the train station, roughly 36 minutes into the film. (Special thanks to www.itsfilmedthere.com for help finding specific location.)
The second of course is the classic "You're going the wrong way" scene. This one is a bit tricky to pinpoint. Located somewhere between Buffalo and Springville, NY, on the 219. (Special thanks to IMDB with excellent movie trivia as always for that information.)
Anyone want to take a shot at the EXACT location? Here's MY guess: a stretch of highway just North of Springville and east of Concord. Yes, I spent several hours watching "going the wrong way" over and over again so you don't have to do it.
