Best Time To Buy Flights For Holiday Travel

Ok, admittedly, this is a week old. But as Blanche Devereaux says, "Better late than pregnant!" (LOL, shout out to my fellow Golden Girls fans....)

According to Skyscanner.com, now is a pretty good time to buy your holiday flight.

Tickets for Christmastime are about 19% cheaper than normal now
Thanksgiving area flights are lower by about 6%
Heading out around New Year's Eve? Expect about 15% lower rates than usual

If you're not ready to book just yet though, you can still get a decent price for the next few weeks. The prices are expected to increase gradually.

If you're a real procrastinator, apparently 2 weeks before any holiday is also a decent time to pay tickets, with prices about 5% cheaper than average by then.
