As you're dealing with the risks and benefits of using your cell phone, in with the recent World Health Organization announcement that the phones may lead to cancer, consider the following; coffee, pickled vegetables, and gasoline.

These are also in the group of "possible carcinogens," formally known as "group 2B carcinogens" on the WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer's list of known, likely, and possible suspects.

Coffee is in the same 2B category as cell phones because of evidence that drinking coffee could be associated with cancer of the large bowel. But wait a minute...wasn't coffee recently also linked to a lowered risk of fatal prostate cancer, so go figure.

Pickled vegetables have been thought to increase the risk of gastric cancer as well.

What next saliva can possibly cause cancer, but only if swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time (just kidding).

Here is the WHO's complete list.
