Two New York Restaurants Make "Best In USA" List

New York State is full of amazing places to eat and a couple of restaurants are now getting the national attention that they deserve.

USA TODAY recently put out their list of top restaurants of 2025 and two New York State restaurants landed on the list.

The final picks that landed on USA Today's list of best restaurants of 2025 were selected by the writers across their network. These were places that the writers fell in love with and offered not only amazing food but an amazing experience.

The two restaurants that made the list were Augstine's Salumeria and Rocky's Restaurant.

Augstine's Salumeria is located in Mamaroneck and made the list due to their use of hand-made pasta among other things. The USA Today writer was impressed with the duck ragu.

Our local food writer recommends cozying up with the pasta, made in-house from flour that’s grown and milled in Pennsylvania from a pre-Revolutionary War grist mill. The duck ragu is a must.

Rocky's Restaurant is located in Rochester and it made the list for its no frill, cheap, but tasty treats. Rocky's is known for their American-Italian dishes with the USA Today writer recommending the homemade ravioli.

delicious, piping hot, no-frills fare at reasonable prices. It’s known for its tripe, and Thursday is its biggest day of the week when it serves its homemade ravioli.
