Two Buffalo Food Festivals Make Top 5 In The Country
All the votes have been counted and two food festivals in Western New York landed in the Top 5 for best in the country.
The USA Today Top 10 results for best "City Food Festival" and "Specialty Food Festival" were announced yesterday and Buffalo did very well in the contest.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival, which is held every year on Labor Day weekend, was voted as the 3rd best specialty food festival in the country. That is one spot up from last year.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival was just behind the Delta Hot Tamale festival in Greenville, Mississippi, which came in 2nd. The Picklesburgh pickle festival claimed the #1 spot this year.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival will be held on August 30th and 31st this year at Sahlen Field in Downtown Buffalo.
The Taste of Buffalo also placed 3rd overall in the city food festival category. The Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the country.
