Yesterday, the NFTA announced that they would be ending the mask requirement here.  Today, they've reversed that decision again.

It's been a confusing 24 hours as to what the rules are at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.  At the beginning of yesterday, the mask mandate had ended for many flights that were arriving at and departing from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, but they would still be required at the airport itself. By mid-morning, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority had said that they would be dropping that mandate.

Today, they reversed that again and announced that masks would still be required for the airport and other forms of travel like busses and trains here in Western New York.

“First and foremost, we want to apologize for what is sure to be confusing to our travelers and riders, but due to the Governor’s announcement updating COVID regulations from the New York State Department of Health, masks will still be required in all public transportation entities within the State of New York until further notice. This includes the Buffalo Niagara International and Niagara Falls International Airports, Metro Bus and Rail and all Paratransit services. We will provide any updates or changes to this policy accordingly.  The NFTA will continue to follow the CDC recommendation that encourages people to wear masks in indoor public transportation settings at this time and that everyone should be respectful of those who choose to wear a face covering for their personal safety.” - Statement from the NFTA

So for now, the rule is that you will not have to wear a mask on the flight, however, you will have to wear one through the airport and on busses and rails.
