A dog owner in Brigham City, Utah, has a bone to pick with "man's best friend". This 46-year-old hunting enthusiast got a behind-full of birdshot courtesy of his loyal canine companion while duck hunting.

Reportedly the man and his dog were traveling in a boat when the man stepped out into a marsh to set up decoys. His left his 12-gauge shotgun lying across the bow of the boat.

The dog, apparently excited to join his owner, jumped up on the boat's bow and stepped on the gun, causing it to discharge hitting the man in the buttocks with 27 pellets of birdshot.

The man called 9-1-1, the wounds were not serious and he is now reportedly recovering.

No comment from his dog "Chaney" (just kidding LOL)
