When Will We See The Leaves Change Color In New York?
We are currently in the last couple of weeks of summer here in Western New York. Students and teachers all across the 716 will be back to school soon and the leaves will be changing colors too.
You may already notice that some of the leaves have started to change. I noticed a couple here and there when I was walking around Holiday Valley in Western New York.

So when can we expect the leaves to fully start to change and give us those amazing Red, Yellow, and Orange brilliant colors?
According to the Farmer's Almanac, we will start to see the majority of the leaves start to change color towards the end of September.

According to their prediction, it looks like we will have a solid month of fall foliage and you know there are plenty of places to see amazing colors in the fall across the Empire State.
According to the website Iloveny.com, here are the best places to see the leaves change colors here in New York.
The Catskills Mountains
The “Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park
By Train along the Adirondack Scenic Railroad
Thru the air at Holiday Valley with their Chairlift ride
The firetower at Ferncliff Forest
If you can't wait until the end of September a simple drive along the 90 or the 219 will leave you to some pockets of leaves already changing colors across the state.
