The good news is that no one was hurt and no major damage was done to the building, just the sign.

While Kone King remains open, the giant cone sign did have to come down.

I grew up in West Seneca and one of my favorite memories was heading over to Kone King after soccer practice for a special treat.

As a kid when you were driving down the road and you saw that huge ice cream cone in the distance you knew you were in for a treat.

I loved going to Kone King so much that when we moved back to Buffalo, I had to keep the tradition of going for a treat after soccer practice alive with my son Avry.

Here we are a couple of years ago enjoying some ice cream cones. My go-to order is a large soft-serve twist with cherry dip.

With the weather we are expected to have all this week you might want to visit Kone King or one of the many other amazing ice cream shops at some point this week, just don't take their drive-thru sign literally.
