By the time that March rolls around on the calendar, people from Nyack to Niagara Falls are pretty much over winter. With the signs of spring appearing just about anywhere you go, the desire to hurry up and get to the end of winter seems to increase just about every day.

This is especially true when you are on the tail end of a cold weather season like we had during the 2025/26 cold weather season; the vast majority of New Yorkers are ready for it to be all over.

However, even though the place from New York City to Buffalo got really hit hard with cold temps and tons of snow, if you look at the calendar, you'll quickly see the truth: winter isn't over yet.
