I know it sounds too good to be true, but it's not.

It's called a "keto diet," and lots of people are starting to catch on to how effective it is for weight loss.


I've tried different ways of eating over the years, with varying levels of success. What has always been hard for me, is finding a plan that I can stick to. I firmly believe that you can lose weight a million and one different ways -- the ketogenic diet is one that works for me.

The main idea behind this way of eating is to limit carbohydrate intake to less than 25 net carbs a day (carbohydrates minus fiber). While that takes bread, pasta, starchy vegetables, sugary stuff and most fruits off the table -- it does allow for eating lots of dietary fat to keep you from being hungry, and enough protein to protect your muscles.

So, you know, chicken wings! At zero carbs, they are a keto favorite.
