Several weather alerts have already been issued by the National Weather Service.

Heat advisories have been issued for almost the entire state. Starting in Western New York all the way down to Westchester County, a heat advisory is in place.

The only place in New York that is not under a heat advisory is New York City and parts of Long Island.

Also in Western New York, an air quality alert is in place until 11 pm on Monday.

Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 105 for Ground Level Ozone.

When pollution levels are elevated...the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health
effects.

This is only the beginning of the heat for this week. The two hottest days of the week are expected to be Wednesday and Thursday so make sure you have a plan to stay cool.
