It looks like Mother Nature is hoping the kids will get lots of candy this Halloween.

It looks like the weather is set to warm up just in time for trick-or-treating across New York State.

The 10-day forecast is calling for some cold weather this weekend and into early next week but that is set to change next Wednesday. A warm front is set to bring some above-average temperatures and dry conditions just in time to go out and grab some candy.

We are looking at highs in the upper 60s and even into the 70s on Wednesday, Thursday, and possibly Friday. These temperatures will be 5-10 degrees warmer than the average for this time of the year.

It looks like it doesn't matter if you plan on trick-or-treating on Begger's Night (the night before Halloween) or right on Halloween you won't have to plan for a costume that will fit over a snowsuit.

The bad news is that it looks like that warm won't last into November. Another cold front is set to move across the state and with that will be temperature more on par with the average for this time of the year.

Of course, as we head into November, the chance of snow increases as well with the average first date of measurable snow for much of New York in the first week or two of November.
