Gowanda Correctional Facility Employee Charged With Rape

A former civilian cook at the Gowanda Correctional Facility is being charged with 3rd rape and official misconduct for allegedly having inappropriate sexual relations with inmates. Police were alerted to the situation after receiving an anonymous letter in regards to the actions of 29-year-old Jessica Fries. The letter lead to a three month investigation by the State Police and the Department of Corrections Inspector General's office.

Jessica Fries was arrested at her home and released by State Police. She is scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court.
