Gov. Cuomo Calls For Legalization Of Marijuana In New York State
Newly re-elected Governor Andrew Cuomo has called for the legalization of recreational marijuana in NY State.
The Governor has done an about-face on the topic as in the past he called to keep marijuana illegal. Last year he called marijuana a "Gateway" drug during one of his speeches.
It looks like his change of opinion has come as surrounding states like Vermont and Massachusetts, along with Canada all have allowed the possession of a small amount of marijuana to become legal.
The Governor has called upon elected State officials to look into the issue in early 2019.
