Clear skies yesterday afternoon led to some very cold temperatures overnight across Western New York.

Overnight lows in some parts of Western New York dropped into the 20s and this led the National Weather Service to issue a "Freeze Warning" for parts of the 716.

A freeze warning has been issued for Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties until 10 am this morning.

FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures in the upper 20s.

* WHERE...Interior portions of Chautauqua and Southern Erie Counties away from the Lake Erie shoreline.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing.

 


We are expecting another cooler day today with highs near 58 before a warm-up heads our way on Friday and into next week. We are looking at temperatures moving back into the 60s through Saturday with plenty of sunshine as well.

it gets even better if you are headed to the Bills home game on Sunday. We will see temperatures in the low 70s with sunshine on Sunday with more warm weather expected next Monday and Tuesday.
