So you need a dress for the prom?  How about a free one?  Why not at least take a look?  That's the conversation many moms may be having with their daughters today, as they consider browsing through some of the more than 600 beautiful gowns donated to the second annual Prom Dress Drive.

The event was again put together by Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon, who notes there are 200 more dresses on the racks this year than last.  Anyone is welcome to come check out the gowns and take one home.  They're ready to wear, having been dry cleaned already courtesy of Urban Valet.  "During Friday and Saturday’s Free Shopping Days, when girls from across Erie County walk into that room they will have hundreds of styles, colors and sizes to select from,” said Legislator Dixon. “I am so proud to represent the great people of District 12 and am grateful to them for making the effort. I can’t thank the community enough for supporting this event and giving local teens a chance to go to their prom in a beautiful gown.”

This year’s Free Shopping Days will be held 7pm to 9pm tonight (Friday, April 29) and 11am to 2pm tomorrow (Saturday, April 30) at Eden Sr./Jr. High School Cafeteria, 3150 Schoolview Road, Eden.
