When you think of Hot Dogs in New York there are several images that come to mind.

If you live in Western New York, you think of Sahlen hot dogs and a trip to Ted's to get them right off the grill. In central New York, you might think of "White Hots" These regional specialty hot dogs are loved by residents in cities like Rochester and Syracuse. You might even think of all the hot dog vendors on the corner of the streets in downtown New York City. The hot dog carts can be found on many different corners in the "Big Apple"

Where can you find the best hot dog in New York State?

According to the Food Network, you will need to make a trip to Rochester, New York. The Food Network recently put out their list of the best hot dog shops in every state and New York State was represented by Schaller's Drive-In.

Schaller's Drive-In has three locations around Rochester and is known for serving white hots. They are made of uncured and unsmoked pork, beef, and veal which allows the hot dog to maintain its white color.

They have been open since 1956 when two brothers decided to open their own hot dog stand near Lake Ontario.

On top of amazing hot dogs, Schaller's is also known for its traditional meat sauce, which is also a Rochester staple.
