Pizza is one the most popular meals in New York State but when you order it are you doing it wrong?

It doesn't matter if you are getting a slice, large, sheet, or personal pan pizza apparently some New Yorkers are ordering it wrong.

When I order a pizza with a topping, say pepperoni, I always say give me a cheese and pepperoni pizza. My wife said that is the WRONG way to order a pizza. She said that the cheese is implied on a pizza and you can just say pepperoni and you will get a cheese and pepperoni pizza.

Who is right and who is wrong? We posted this on TikTok and other social media outlets and it looks like there is a split on how to correctly order a pizza.

Some people said I was "mansplaining" how to make a pizza to pizzeria workers and owners while some other people said that they had just ordered a "Pepperoni" pizza and it came with just dough, sauce, and pepperoni and no cheese!
