People are using their cell phones less for calls now than ever before.

Experts say it's part of a growing trend. People have grown more adept at text-based messaging, and more own smartphones that can send text messages, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter, so voice chatting is becoming something of an afterthought.

CNN reports this morning that this shift has taken on new relevance in the wake of Tuesday's World Health Organization's finding that radiation from mobile phones can possibly increase your cancer risk.
