The Bills announced they will be wearing something new as a way to honor the final season at the current Highmark Stadium.

Buffalo Bills Will Have New Look In 2025

The Buffalo Bills announced that the players will be wearing a special patch on their home uniforms that will honor the current stadium.

Buffalo Bills Stadium History

The Buffalo Bills' stadium opened in 1973 and was named Rich Stadium. It kept that name until 199,8 when it was named for the former owner of the Buffalo Bills, Ralph Wilson. The stadium was then named New Era Field from 2016 until 2019. The stadium was renamed Bills Stadium in 2020 and finally renamed Highmark Stadium in 2021.

The first playoff game played at the stadium was on January 1st, 1989. The Bills beat the Houston Oilers 17-10. The Bills would not lose another home playoff game until 1996 when they lost to Jacksonville at home 30-27.

The Bills have beaten every other NFL team at least once at the stadium and have undefeated records at home against the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

When Is The New Bills Stadium Opening?

While there is no exact date yet, an official with the Bills stated that the new stadium is on track to be open for the 2026 NFL season.
