Another “Big $$$” Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

Check your Powerball ticket this morning as there was another "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that one 3rd place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from Wednesday's Powerball drawing.

That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball and won $50,000.

While there was only one "Big Money" winning Powerball ticket sold in New York, there were 76 4th and 5th place winning tickets sold in the "Empire State"

Each one of those tickets won at least $100 which isn't a bad payoff on a $2 ticket.

No one claimed the grand prize last, so the jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing is now up to $263 million dollars. That jackpot is $2 million dollars of cracking the Top 5 largest lottery jackpots ever won in New York State history.

The largest lottery jackpot ever won by a New York State resident happened in April of 2023. That is when 71 year old Johnnie Taylor from New York City won the Mega Million and took home the $476 million dollar jackpot.
