Baby Monkey And The Most Patient Cat Ever Are Adorable Playmates
APEril is a six-month-old white handed gibbon ape. Up Chuck is a middle-aged cat. They both live at the Monkey Island Rescue animal sanctuary and, as you can see in this adorable video, they are playmates.
Or, more accurately: APEril really likes playing with Up Chuck (or "Chuck" for short. Apparently the former stray earned her name because of a throwing up problem she used to have.)
Chuck's tolerance of APEril's unbridled monkey enthusiasm is very impressive — quite un-feline-like. The cat doesn't even make a fuss when APEril grabs her tail and starts nibbling on it like a giant banana.
During the video, APEril also makes like Sean Penn and takes a couple swipes at the cameraman. This monkey is quite a handful! How long can Chuck's patience possibly last?
