A snowstorm socked the Northeast this weekend, knocking out power to 2.7 million, affecting travel and dumping more than 2 feet of snow in some spots.

In a scene reminiscent of WNY's October Storm a combination of heavy, wet snow, leaf-laden trees and high winds brought down limbs and power lines. States of emergency were declared in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and parts of New York...Western New York, while seeing the coldest temperatures so far this year was spared the wrath of the storm.
