A Winter Storm Watch In Effect For WNY

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for WNY from Monday morning through the evening.
A cold front drops temps (tonight/Sunday) and brings widespread snow to Western New York. Wintry mixed precipitation transforms into scattered snow showers early Monday morning. At that point, temperatures will be right around the freezing mark, so this system will drop snow across all of Western New York.
Will continue to get cold, throughout the day tomorrow.
Temperatures will steadily drop throughout the day on Monday. Steady snow is expected to last through the entire day with accumulations between 5 to 10 inches. Areas away from the lake will see the higher snow totals in Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties.

Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the day Monday — with the heaviest snowfall happening Monday afternoon through Monday night. Anyone traveling Monday night or Tuesday should expect slippery spots and possible weather related delays.
