Winter Storm Watch Issued For Western New York
The weather is going to turn very nasty this week with another round of heavy lake effect snow possible for parts of Western New York.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has already issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of the 716 starting on Wednesday and going through Friday afternoon.
The Winter Storm Watch is in place for Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties and there could be a big impact on travel around the region.
This round of snow comes on top of last week's storm which left some areas of Western New York covered with over three feet of snow.
The good news is that it looks like rain and mild conditions could melt some of the current snow on the ground before this next system moves into the area.
