How To Get Free Ride Home This St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick's Day is coming up next weekend and plenty of people in Western New York are planning on going out to celebrate.

Now is the time to make a plan on how you will get home safe after a night out on the town.

Once again William Mattar is giving you a chance to get a free ride home during the St. Patrick's Day celebration.

As part of their Safe Ride Program, you can get a free $20 Uber voucher from William Mattar that can be used over St. Patrick's Day weekend so if you have too much to drink and can't drive, you can still get home safely.

To claim the voucher you need to visit William Mattar's website and sign up for the Safe Ride Home program. There are 1,000 Uber Vouchers available and they will be up for grabs on a first come, first serve basis.

Vouchers will be available for download between Noon on March 7th through Noon on March 14th and while supplies last.

It is best to have a plan to get home safe over St. Patrick's Day weekend. New York State Troopers and local police will have an increased presence on the roads starting the Thursday before and through the Tuesday after St. Patrick's Day as part of the Troopers STOP-DWI High Visibility campaign.

You can expect to see more patrol cars on the road, more DWI checkpoints, and more police presence around area bars and restaurants.

Last year troopers wrote over 5,000 tickets during the St. Patrick's Day weekend campaign.
