What Kids’ Movie Actually Scared You? [VIDEOS]

Looking for a family-friendly movie that's still terrifying enough for Halloween?  Look no further than the Wizard of Oz!

If you're like me, you had nightmares of the flying monkeys. I was also CONVINCED Ms. Gultch was going to come kidnap my dog, Brandy (she was a Norwegian Elkhound, so probably wouldn't fit in the basket, but still).

Rolling Stone listed a bunch of movies that were kind of MADE to be family-friendly but had some positively terrifying moments on board.  It includes....

• The flying monkey, from the Wizard of Oz (obviously!)
• The trippy boat ride in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the ORIGINAL, 1971 version)
• The kitchen scene in Gremlins....reminding us never to put anything but food in the microwave.
