It looks like going over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving won't be an issue this year in Western New York.

You just never know what the weather will be like on Turkey Day in the 716, but this year looks like we are lucking out with the weather. The early 10-day forecast is calling for easy traveling weather.

2025 Thanksgiving Day Forecast For Western New York

This year's Thanksgiving looks like it will be green. There is just a slight chance of some snow flurries the week of Thanksgiving, with temperatures in the mid-40s, so even if it does snow, it won't stick.

For Thanksgiving, the forecast is looking really good, not only for turkey and stuffing, but for all those turkey bowl backyard football games. It looks like we are looking at a high near 45 with a mix of sun and clouds. We could see some flurries or light snow during the afternoon, but nothing that will stick.

If you are planning on shopping on Black Friday, the trip to the stores should be pretty easy, too. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 43. If you plan on shopping early, you will want to bundle up, as it will be a cold start to Black Friday.
