July in Western New York means that it is Lawn Fete season.

There are several lawn fetes that are taking place this weekend in the 716. The Queen of Heaven carnival is like a lawn fete on steroids and that takes place starting today and goes until Sunday.

St. John Paul's Lawn Fete in Lakeview is this weekend while St. John Paul's Lawn Fete in Alden takes place next weekend.

St. John Vianney Church Summer Fest lawn fete in Orchard Park takes place next weekend as well.

Finally on July 26th is the Saints Peter and Paul School Lawn Fete in Hamburg.

One of the best parts of the Lawn Fete is the carnival rides. From tiny roller coasters and swing rides to kiddie rides, rides are a must for Lawn Fetes.

One of our favorite activities in the fall is to take a hayride. There is nothing like bundling up the little ones and piling onto a farmers wagon and then chugging around a farm, through a cornfield, up past an orchard, and back to the barn for a cold glass of apple cider.
