Rochester Lilac Festival - This weekend kicks off the annual Lilac Festival in Rochester, New York. The festival will run from today until May 17th at Highland Park. The festival features live music, food and drinks, and family fun for everyone.

Elmwood Village Farmer's Market - This Saturday kicks off the season for the Elmwood Village Farmer's Market. All of the vendors grow or produce what they sell themselves: The market runs from 8 am until 1 pm each Saturday through November.
