After dealing with temperatures in the single digits and wind chills in the negatives this week, we will see a bit of a warm up across Western New York this weekend.

We are still dealing with some potential lake-effect snow today in Western New York.


After that Winter Weather Advisory expires we are looking for a bit of warmup heading into the weekend. Temperatures are expected to "soar" into the 20s today and into the weekend. Temperatures should get above freezing by Monday afternoon with highs near 35 possible.

We could still see some scattered snow showers this weekend, but if any snow happens it will be light and scattered.

Looking ahead to next week, the 10-day forecast is calling temperatures in the upper 20s with some scattered snow showers possible. We won't see any cold like we did this past week as we should remain well above 0 to close out the month of January.
