Warm Weather On The Way To Western New York

It was a cold and snowy weekend in Western New York but changes are on the way to the 716.

Now that Meteorological winter is over and we are at the start of the Meteorological spring, warmer weather is almost here.

Meteorological winter

This is the period of time, the time of "Winter" used by meteorologists. It starts on December 1st and goes until the end of February. That means any snow/cold we get in October and November are not part of Meteorological winter.

Meteorological spring

According to meteorologists, the start of Meteorological spring begins on March 1st and lasts until the end of May.

Some warmer weather is coming to Western New York. After the snow and cold this weekend, things will warm up

Starting on Monday we are getting back to above freezing with temperatures around 33 with plenty of sunshine.

Tuesday is looking much warmer with a high near 45, but we will see rain showers move into the area for most of the day.

Wednesday, it gets even warmer with a high near 58 with rain for most of the day. The winds will also pick up as we have another weather system move into the area.

Thursday, the rain could change back into snow as the weather front brings a cool down with temperatures falling back into the 30s.

The average temperature in the month of March for Western New York is around 42 degrees.
