Vets For Pets – Free SPCA Adoptions for Veterans

From May 21 through May 31, adoption fees will be waived for veterans wishing to adopt a pet from the Erie County SPCA.

According to WGRZ, the fee waiver applies to all veterans, "including active duty, reserves, honorably discharged, or service-disabled veterans," and Vets for Pets is held in honor of Memorial Day.
