While it might seem like a good idea to give your pet something different to eat on this special day but it could be deadly for them.
Check out these 5 Thanksgiving foods that could be deadly for your dog.
TURKEY SKIN AND TURKEY BONES
Both of these parts of the turkey can end up getting lodged in your dog's throat and could cause lots of problems. Turkey skin is so chewy that dogs might eat it without really shedding it and it could cause a blockage.
GRAVY
Your first thought would be that lots of dog food have gravy with it but gravy made for humans contains lots of toxic items like onions and garlic.
CANDIED YAMS
Yams that have been boiled or mashed up are ok to give your dog. Candied Yams are not since they contain lots of sugar which could cause problems.
STUFFING
Just like gravy, stuffing is made up of onions and garlic which is very toxic for your dog.
FAT TRIMMINGS
Once again without thinking giving your dog some of the fat trimmings from the turkey or ham could be deadly. Fat trimmings from meat both cooked and uncooked could lead to pancreatitis in dogs.
Not everything at the meal is bad for your dog. Giving them Turkey is ok as long as it is in moderation. Cranberry sauce and green beans are also good for your dog as long as they are not mixed with anything else.
