Sub-Zero Temps This Morning In Western New York
It has been a cold start to our Wednesday here in Western New York.
Most towns are dealing with temperatures below zero to the start of our day.
As of this morning at 7:50 am, here is what some of the temperatures look like in the 716:
East Aurora - -9
Elma - -10
Hamburg - -6
West Seneca - -9
Lancaster - - 9
City of Buffalo - -4
Tonawanda - -1
These are the current air temperatures, you add the wind chill and these temperatures drop to well below zero.

If you need to be outside today there are some things you need to do to keep yourself safe.
Dress in layers - That way you can take them off if you get too warm and add them back on when you cool off
Limit Your Time Outside - Frostbite can set in as quickly as 30 minutes when it is this cold. If you have to be outside make sure to take breaks and head back indoors to warm up.
Know the signs of frostbite - Knowing what to look for can save your life. Skin that looks waxy and cold is a sign. Loss of feeling in your fingers and toes is a sign
We will see a warm-up later this week, but in the meantime stay indoors if you can.
