It looks like today could be the worst day of the week when it comes to the weather here in Western New York.

While we will be dealing with mild temperatures, we are also looking at a fast moving storm set to bring very windy conditions and possible severe thunderstorms across the 716.

The rain will also be problematic when it comes to flooding issues in Western New York. On top of plenty of snow melting, the rain will add to the risk of creeks and rivers overflowing their banks.

A flood watch remains in place until 1 pm tomorrow. If you live or drive near flood-prone areas, make sure to use caution and never try to drive through flooded streets.

Temperatures will drop swiftly tonight and we will be back in the 30s by Thursday and Friday with some of this rain switching back over to snow. There isn't an expectation of shovelable snow, but the higher elevations of Western New York could see a couple of inches.

Things will remain on the cold side for the weekend before we move back into the 40s and 50s next week. Looking ahead to the long-range forecast it looks like the temperatures will remain on the mild side for the rest of the month.
