RECIPE: Strawberry Watermelon Slush
What a slushy day yesterday, the weather caught us by surprise. Slush is fun to look at, bad to drive and makes a pretty hard ice ball. When the hot summer months approach make your own slush. Store this one away you'll want to use it in July and August. When it's 90 degrees sit in your favorite spot and sip away.
- Bring the sugar, seltzer water, and strawberry flavored gelatin to a boil in a large saucepan; boil for 3 minutes. Stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and watermelon juice. Divide mixture into 2 separate containers and freeze.
- Combine the contents of 1 container with 1 bottle of the lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage in a punch bowl; stir until slushy. Repeat with remaining portions as needed.
