Recipe: Easy Breeze Salsa
I know Cinco de Mayo was a week ago, but I can't pull myself away from the fresh Mexican salsas and the flavors they add to my everyday food. I'm glad I can go to Salsaritas and grab a good burrito. If I make it home I can add my own extra salsa. Ole!
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 bunch cilantro, finely chopped- no stems
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp adobo
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 tsp hot sauce
- In a medium bowl, combine tomato, onion, jalapeno pepper (to taste,) cilantro and green onion. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until evenly distributed. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
