Million Dollar Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

One person in New York was very happy this weekend.

While no one won the Powerball jackpot on Friday, one ticket in New York matched all five numbers which means that ticket is worth one million dollars.

The winning numbers for Friday's Powerball were 2,18,23,27,47 with the Powerball number 15. 

The ticket sold in New York matched all 5 numbers but missed out on the Powerball number. That ticket also didn't have the Mega-plier on it which would have doubled the prize to $2 million dollars.

One ticket sold in Texas matched all five numbers and did have the Mega-piler so that ticket is worth $2 million dollars.

Two other million-dollar tickets outside of New York were also sold for Friday's drawing. Those tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Missouri.

The current jackpot for the Powerball is now up to $613 million dollars. The last time someone won the Powerball jackpot was back in November when someone won the $1.4 billion dollar jackpot.

The next Powerball drawing will take place tonight at 10:59 pm.
